5 Reasons You Should Invest in Professional Bed Bug Treatment

Bed bugs are some of the most painful bugs to live with as well as being one of the toughest bugs to get rid of. Bed bugs are the perfect hitchhikers and can hitch-hike their way into your home from almost anywhere-literally. Bed bugs problems are easiest to be treated if detected early on but finding bed bugs during the early stages is difficult.

4 Warning Signs that You May Need Professional Bed Bug Treatment:

  • Waking Up with Bed Bug Bites

The chances of you actually spotting a bed bug are slim as they are very good at hiding and are mostly nocturnal. Waking up with multiple bed bug bites in a straight line or zig-zag pattern on your body is the first sign that there are bed bugs in your home.

  • Odor

Bed bugs will give off a pheromone scent that will smell a bit sweet and musty. It has been compared to rotting fruit. You should ideally call a bed bug exterminator if you smell anything like the above.

  • Eggs and Molted Shells

A strong sign of bed bug presence in your home are bed bug eggs which are usually laid in white and oblong clusters. Female bed bugs are capable of laying 500 plus eggs each year which can lead to an explosion of the bed bug population in your home.
Another sign of bed bug presence in your home are their molted shells.

  • Blood Stains on Your Bedding

Crushed bed bugs and their feces tend to stain your sheets with red or dark brown spots which look like bloodstains.

5 Reasons You Should Opt for Professional Bed Bug Treatment:

  • Professional Bed Bug Treatment is More Effective than DIY Treatment

Most if not all DIY treatments are not at all effective against bed bugs and the few that may be will only be effective temporarily before the bed bugs bounce back with a vengeance. It is best to hire the services of a professional who will treat your home in a strategic manner without exposing your children and pets to harm as well as not damaging your belongings either.

  • Delays in Treating Bed Bugs Makes it Harder to Eliminate Them

The longer you take in figuring out that you have a bed bug infestation, the harder it will be to get rid of the bed bugs. Therefore it is best to opt for professional bed bug treatment to quickly detect whether you have a bed bug infestation and eliminate it quickly and efficiently.

  • Professionals are Trained, Certified and Experienced

Bed bug professionals are trained to know how to find and get rid of bed bugs and will save you a lot of money and hassles in the long run as they have tools and are well versed in techniques that are most effective so that they can get rid of the bed bugs much faster and more permanently. Hiring a professional is best as there are certain bed bug extermination techniques that can only be conducted with specialized equipment that can only be operated by a pest control professional.

  • You End Up Wasting Your Time and Money

An increased amount of bed bug infestations has led to a lot of products and websites designed to fight bed bugs yourself. Unfortunately, most of these products will probably not be that effective in eradicating the bed bugs permanently as they also contain incorrect information.

  • Bed Bug Exterminators are Strategic and Efficient

If you have discovered bed bugs in your home then the chances are that they’ve probably already infiltrated your home. Unfortunately, DIY solutions are not efficient enough to exterminate all the bed bugs on your property in a permanent manner whereas professional exterminators like Take Care Termite’s bed bug exterminators are trained and experienced enough to strategically kill the bed bug populations in your home in a quick, efficient and permanent manner.

I’ve noticed that I wake up with bug bites but I’m not completely sure if they are just mosquito bites. It’s interesting to know that bed bugs will also leave like a rotting fruit odor, and will leave bloodstains on my bed. After reading this article I can definitely confirm that what I have are bed bugs, so I will start looking for a pest control company.
